MASS COMMUNICATION AND ITS UNIQUENESS

Mass communication is among the most dynamic fields in Nigeria today. Communication as we used to know it, has drastically changed and evolved into another level. The world now circulates ready-made information and it is apparently vivid to see why the Mass communication field is still among the most important and relevant career today. The good news is one rarely runs out of opinions with Mass communication degree.

With no doubt, Mass communication as a field is a Noble, fun and exciting environ to be, which is one of the reasons why the field will never be short of admirers. One thing is almost certain, “you rarely get stranded ‘as a Mass communication professional'” and irrespective of the economic situation of the country, there will always be an industry that would need your professional input.

To become a good Mass communicator, you should know how to surprise others with original and unique ideas. Take feed back on your idea(s), be open to criticism, and then reiterate it the best.

A good Mass-communicator should cultivate these simple ethics bellow –

Be a Sponge: Never stop learning. keep on reading what is new out there in the industry because the world is growing younger everyday despite its old age. Talk to people around you and learn from them, because the more you reach out and learn, the more diverse and innovative ideas you will get.

Be Creative: The easiest recipe to have a successful and bright future in the field of Mass communication is to keep working hard by means of creativity and talent. We believe creativity springs even when resources are limited.
