Renowned Umuchukwu born medical expert, Dr. Godwin Maduka was on Thursday, awarded at the 2020 National Peace Awards.
The Okosisi Orumba was at the International Conference Centre, Abuja where he was recognised and honoured for his selfless commitment towards sustaining and promoting peace in Anambra State and Nigeria as a whole.
Dr. Godwin Maduka who doubles as a frontline candidate in the 2021 Anambra was the only award recipient that bagged two prestigious awards from the National Peace Awards 2020. The first, Most Friendly Philanthropist of the year presented by the Deputy Governor of Borno State Alh. Umar Kadafur and secondly, Peace Man Of the Year 2020, which was presented by a ranking PDP stakeholder Alh Buba Galadima.
Responding as a recipient of these prestigious awards, Dr. Maduka who enjoyed massive accolades from the floor pledged to continue promoting peace and development in Anambra State and Nigeria.
