NATURE OF NIGERIAN POLITICS & TYPES OF LEADERSHIP

The true nature of the Nigerian Political System from time immemorial has a multifaceted outlook that naturally mirrors ethnicity, tribalism, religious affiliations, sociocultural relationship s and most of ”party affinity” can be broadly categorized from Two Major Perspectives.

They are:

1. STATIC LEADERSHIP:

This process usually involves a process where The Political Party Chooses the leaders of the day which in turn determines the kind of followers from its monolithic structure that sometimes do not represent the interest of the ”Masses” who most times perceive such leaders as ”democratic antagonists” that do not reflect their interests. Such leadership do not believe in the ”Power of the People” through their collective mandate for a candidate who represents the interest of the ”common man” but appreciates leaders that satisfy the whims and caprices of the elites who can never see anything good in representing the interest of the people through DEVELOPMENTAL ACHIEVEMENTS, but rather take joy in seeing the Masses’ beg for jobs, money and food, by CONSTANTLY DANCING TO THE SELF CENTRED POLITICAL TUNES of the MICROSCOPIC FEW all in the name of LOYALTY TO GODFATHERS, at the expense of the people whom CREDIBLE LEADERSHIP SHOULD ALWAYS BE MEANT FOR.

2. DYNAMIC LEADERSHIP:

This system of Leadership is ”TRULY DEMOCRATIC” in nature as it allows CREDIBLE LEADERS TO CHOOSE THE POLITICAL PARTIES they wish to associated themselves with in relations to the wants, needs, cravings & yearnings of the Masses, as seen in the PRACTICAL CASE OF GOVERNOR GODWIN NOGHEGHASE OBASEKI OF EDO STATE, who is making history by choosing to honourably leave the ruling party in power after he was ”unjustly disqualified” from the controversial All Progressives Congress Primaries held in Nigeria’s Democracy Day, where Her Democracy was ”forcefully raped” in broad day light, as the Peoples’ Reposed Mandate was outrightly questioned by the Erstwhile Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, through the shameless act of Professor Yakubu Jonathan and others who irrational questioned the authenticity and validity of the credentials of Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, without setting up an ”Inquiry Committee” that would make proper ”objective research” and report on the findings of OBASEKI’S Credentials. Rather, they all ganged up against a CREDIBLE LEADER WHO IS CURRENTLY CHANGING THE NARRATIVES IN EDO STATE BY ”REFUSING TO SHARE”.

THE PUBLIC FUNDS TO CABALS & CONCENTRATING ON DEVELOPMENTAL PROJECTS which ALL WELL MEANING EDOLITES CAN ATTEST TO IN THE ENTIRE STATE.

Furthermore, this is a system ”where the people choose to follow their Leader to any party he or she chooses to go”,as long as it is for the interest of the Masses, seen seen in the case of Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki whom ”the Good People of Edo State have already chosen to follow” to the the Peoples’ Democratic Party, because Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki strongly believes that ”power should be for the interest of the Good People of Edo State” and not for a ”myopic few whose hunger, thirst, and quest for the Edo State’s Treasury and Public Funds would never cease because of their ”ancestral style” of ”old politicking” which is naturally static, retrogressive, and backward in nature because it is only based on the philosophy of ”Share the money to the Cabals at all cost and let the Masses go hungry”.

This style of Leadership also allows for ”public opinion polls” and ”active political participation” whereby the Masses would have various platforms to err their minds on topical issues in NIGERIAN Leadership and consistently progress in full blown error by consciously dying in silence, when their ”VOICES” ought to be heard by their leaders who should always carry them along like Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki who is making the ”MASSES’ VOICE” heard and championing their Good Course of sustainable development in Edo State.

From the foregoing, it is unequivocally visible to the blind and audible to the deaf that the Latter style of Leadership is ”TRULY DEMOCRATIC”, ”MASSES’ ORIENTED”, ”SOCIALLY INCLUSIVE”, to the OVERALL BENEFIT AS WELL AS GENUINE INTEREST OF ALL WELL MEANING NIGERIANS, ESPECIALLY THE GOOD PEOPLE OF EDO STATE WHO AT THIS POINT IN TIME NEED THE SUSTAINABILITY OF GOOD GOVERNANCE TO CONTINUOUSLY MAKE THINGS RIGHT IN EDO POLITICS, which is totally based on the ”impeccable character” and ”charismatic personality” of Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki and not just his new political party.
