The League Management Company (LMC) has released the new season 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) fixtures which was announced to Start on 17th of December, 2021.
The matchday one of the new season will see reigning champions Akwa United welcome Kano Pillars, while Gombe United shall be welcoming Shooting Stars SC of Ibadan to the Patanmi stadium in Gombe.
Meanwhile, Makurdi giants Lobi Stars will host Rivers United which will see Lobi Stars Manager Eddy Dombraye lead his side against his state for the first time in many years.
The first oriental derby match of the new season is Enyimba FC to play against their arch-rivals Abia Warriors in Aba, while Enugu Rangers (Rangers international) will be meeting “Changi boys” Katsina United Fc.
Niger Tornadoes will welcome Plateau United at their temporary home ground in Kaduna, alongside Sunshine Stars will face their former manager Kabiru Dogo and Fuad Ekelojuoti in the Akure Township Stadium.
According to the fixture, Kwara United shall host Dakkada Fc in Ilorin, Kwara United who almost won the league last season, but unfortunately Akwa United secured the title with seven points gap. Also, the “Olukoya boys” MFM FC will host regional rivals Remo Stars at the Agege Stadium.
The solid miners Nasarawa United will leave their home for Owerri to face Heartland Fc.
