OBIANO FUMES AGAINST BASE OIL, ADULTERATED PRODUCTS DEALERS

The Governor of Anambra State, Dr Willie Obiano has warned dealers of Base oil and adulterated Products to stay clear from Anambra State as the state is not a dumping ground for substandard and off-specifications imported lubes of questionable quality.

Speaking through his SSA on Petroleum and Union Matters, Hon. Peter Nwosu, at Chicason Group Hqt, Nnewi, where the Chairman of Chicason Group hosted Mechanics and other artisans, the Governor said his government will not hesitate to bring the dealers of such petroleum products which pose serious risk to the citizens to book.

Hon. Peter Nwosu bemoaned the  economic loss to consumers of such unwholesome products, which most often result in breakdown of machineries, environmental pollution as well as undue competition for local producers as they come very cheap to unsuspecting citizens.

He further restated the determination of the state government in partnering with Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and Lubricant Producers Association of Nigeria in order to curb the activities of adulterators in Anambra State.
