The Ogun State Government has engaged relevant stakeholders across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), to review the Medium-Term Sectoral Strategy (MTSS 2021-2023) for improved efficiency of the document in subsequent years.

Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan while speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, noted that it is essential to appraise the current plan for better performance.

Olabimtan maintained that the working document for the three-year plan would provide a benchmark towards changing needs and circumstances, as well as identify strategic deficiencies for advancement.

The Commissioner clarified that the process was not to kick-start the 2022-2024 MTEF as the State still awaits the approval of Medium-Term Expenditures Framework (MTEF2022-2024) by the House of Assembly.

He added that the State was already on track with the MTEF model, which was newly introduced at the advent of the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration, saying “the plan now is to evaluate and give more technical support to MDAs.
