Ogun Revenue Officers Tasked On Improved Performance

Olaleye, in a statement signed by the Head, OGIRS Media, Mrs. Bolanle Ogunlami, urged the officers to think out of the box and come up with new strategies, to ensure that every taxable adult residing in the State were identified and made to voluntarily discharge their civic responsibilities that would lead to increased revenue generation.

“You need to re-strategise, think out of the box, and come up with ideas that are not in existence. Nobody knows COVID-19 will come into existence in the year 2020, but it came. I, therefore, want you to think outside the box,” he said.

According to the Chairman, the budget session was aimed at appraising the year 2020 revenue performance and chart a new course for the year 2021 for better revenue performance.

He enthused that, the session would provide an opportunity for the agency to identify its strengths and weaknesses, to perform better in the coming year.

Earlier, the Agency took delivery of 30 operational motorbikes and 10 vehicles that would enable its Revenue Officers to reach the nooks and crannies of the State with ease.

While commissioning the operational motorbikes and vehicles, the Chairman disclosed that they were the first phase of the State government’s support to OGIRS to empower them for better performance saying improved IGR would enable Government to fulfill her electoral campaign of making life better for the citizenry.
