Ogun SSG Empowers Women, Others With Car Gifts

It was hope renewed for Women in the thirteen (13) wards of Ijebu-North Local Government area of Ogun State as more women benefited from the empowerment programme of the Secretary to the Ogun State Government.

 

Speaking at the presentation of cash gifts to the women beneficiaries, Ogun SSG, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi said the gesture was in furtherance of the Dapo Abiodun-led administration’s commitment to genuinely improve the livelihood of women in the state.

 

While giving envelopes of N100,000, N75,000 and N50, 000 to the beneficiaries, Talabi said “this is the second phase of our financial intervention for women towards boosting their economic power and this is the mandate of the Governor to all of us working with him and here in Ijebu-North, we are already doing our.”

 

He noted that more of such empowerment programmes have been conceived towards providing democratic dividends to the people.


The SSG hinted that the Women leaders in the 13 wards have been selected for the empowerment programme so that they could also build a common ground to empower others.

 

Speaking on behalf of other beneficiaries, Mrs. Akeusola Adenike who is also the Women Leader of Ijebu-North appreciated the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the SSG for the gesture, saying the present administration has restored their long lost hope in government, pledging their unflinching support to the present administration.

 

Meanwhile, the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi has also donated a brand new Toyota Corolla Saloon car to Mr. Sanni Rasaq as part of his empowerment initiative, noting that the beneficiary has demonstrated leadership par excellence and uprightness in character towards stabilizing the polity of Ijebu-North Local Government Area.

Sanni beaming with extreme joy said he is delighted that the Governor and the SSG has kept their promises of rewarding hardworking and uplifting the indigent in the society.


He noted that he, like many others would continue to work assiduously for the success of the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration, saying it is truly all-inclusive, serving the people without prejudice to the majority.
