Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker who made this known in Abeokuta, during a press briefing on the update of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign, said the brand is a single dose vaccine and would be available in all the 20 Local Government Areas (LGA) to increase vaccination coverage in the State.
Coker assured that all the available brands of vaccines were safe and potent at preventing the spread of the virus, noting that anyone that receives the Johnson and Johnson brand could take their booster shot after two months of the initial jab.
“To reach more people, particularly in hard-to-reach communities with challenging terrains and security issues, the single dose of Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine has been introduced by the Federal Government of Nigeria to cater for the underserved population in the country.
