The Chairman, Ogun State Civil Service Commission, Engr. Tokunbo Odebunmi has said that the State government would maintain equity and fairness as the oral promotion interview across all Ministries, Department, and Agencies (MDAs) in the State continues.
Engr. Odebunmi, gave this assurance while monitoring the exercise at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Abeokuta, lauding staff of his Commission for being dutiful and putting necessary measures in place.
“Indeed, I really give kudos to the staff and members of the Civil Service Commission in the State, they are very passionate with their work, they take their job so seriously, very dutiful, punctual, committed and dedicated to work, am really impressed with all machinery being put in place for this promotion exercise,” Odebunmi said.
Odebunmi, in a statement signed by the Commission’s Press Officer, Mrs. Fatimah Alatishe, noted that one of the fundamental principles of the Commission is to implement government policies and provide regulatory framework that would promote good working relationship among the workforce.
He commended the Ministry on its achievement, urging it not to relent at improving the education standard of the State.
In his remark, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu appreciated the Civil Service Commission for embarking on the exercise and the ingenuity brought into the promotion process, describing it as an initiative that was in tandem with the vision of the present administration.
“In fact, the promotion exercise is really in tandem with the vision and mission of this administration-led by Prince Dapo Abiodun with his campaign slogan, ‘Building Our Future Together’, we are very grateful for the promotion exercise,” Prof. Arigbabu said
Earlier in her welcome address, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Abosede Ogunleye, lauded the State Governor for keeping his promise on the promotion exercise, saying it would boost morale and productivity of workers.
