Olumba Olumba: Why we don’t see Jesus Christ as lord

The Brotherhood Of The Cross And Star is a religious organisation founded by their spiritual leader, Obu, in the year 1956, in Calabar, Cross River State. So many people have been asking whether, Brotherhood of the Cross and Star is a church.

The Brotherhood did not call themselves church, but the new kingdom of God on earth. Their doctrine is different from majority of Christian doctrine, that leader Obu was the promised Holy Spirit, while his son whom he appointed as the new leader of the sect is Jesus Christ that came back to the earth.

The members of this sect worship him as God, that is everything he says is final, most of the politician always flock to him for spiritual help. This is how you know that the teaching of the Olumba Olumba contradicts the scripture, both Old and New Testament did not tell us that the Holy Spirit which Jesus promise in the book of John 14 verse 16,17, will have a son that would succeed him.

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

In the year 2000, Olumba Obu crowned his son formally known as Rowland to be the spiritual head of the sect. Rowland’s name was changed to His Holiness  Obu.

Frankly speaking, it will be okay to say this is not the only church which stand against most doctrines lay down by the bible, the Jehovah witness of course do have their doctrine which is not or has not be found in the bible, and also lots of other churches
