OLUSOLA OKE and the donation to his bid to be Governor of Ondo State.

The Unity forum (UF) gave a donation to Chief Oke to purchase his party’s gubernatorial nomination form, through a cheque presented to Chief Oke by the forum on Saturday, 20th June 2020 at his Campaign office.
In attendance at the presentation were members and leaders of the UF.

The logical questions to ask here are –

What’s the import of the donation?

What will it achieve?

Is Oke so poor that he can’t afford the fee?

The UF has clearly demonstrated it’s commitment to its avowed stand to see the back of Akeredolu.

The UF does not only want Akeredolu out, they will do all it will take to make sure he doesn’t return to the government House.

The UF not only believes in their product, they will stand by it. The UF see’s Oke as Collective Product and rightly so.

Having emerged as consensus candidate at the UF, Chief Olusola Alexander Oke is a product owned by leaders and aspirants of APC for the benefit of all its members which implies open-access, the ownership of decision in common, and the negation of sole ownership as such.

The donation came from donations from members of the forum and it’s the forums way of saying we all made you Governor.

The UF is opposed to Akeredolu particularly because of the sole proprietorship pattern he ran government with.
The group is aversed to Akeredolu’s penchant for family and tribe alone.

To the forum, Olusola Alexander Oke will do things differently, Oke is a refined gentleman and not a tipple. Oke is not given to vulgarity, Oke is not a violent man and does not harbor thugs, Oke is not nepotic, Oke has the will to do right by the people and for his state, Oke has been around for awhile and knows what is required.

Oke belongs to the Agagu school of thought and has often demonstrated outstanding intelligence on the state of affairs and economy of Ondo State.

Is Oke so poor that he can’t afford the nomination fee?

Believe this and you’re on your own. Chief Olusola Alexander Oke is a SAN and cannot be called poor by any stretch of imagination!

Accepting this donation from the UF only shows that Oke knows what the state wants and is ready to be a team player. Oke has surrendered his ambition to God and; the leaders and people of Ondo state.
