Gbetu TV (News They Are Not Talking About)
The last government that was duly elected before this government was the Comr. Esabu Joseph led Administration and I can say with all certainty that we didn’t only reject the sport dues, we rebuked it in writing to the Vice-chancellor and I will be making a copy of that letter public soon.
In addition, the only Union that is authorised to make such a decision on behalf of all AAU students is a duly elected one.
I’m taking this as an evidence from the current Union President that him or any member of his Exco didn’t Authorise this as it was done before they came on board.
I also just placed a call across to the chairman of SUGAAC, in the person of OSAGIE Daniel who was the AG in our government and was in a meeting we had with the management where Comr. Esabu strongly rejected the decision.
So if all these has been noted, then we the AAU students deserve to know if it was the Electoral Commission led by Okun Oyakhire that did so as alleged by some quarters!!! And if Yes, we will resist it with all might and all within our jurisdiction and also within the ambit of the law, bcos An Electoral Commission cannot and will never take such a decision on behalf of all students, we are also aware of the alleged increment in Insurance dues and on behalf of the Nigeria Students’ and Youth Association (NISAYA) EDO STATE CHAPTER, We are coming to ask questions!!!
