ONDO 2020: Akingboye Inaugurates OBACO Advisory Council. – – As Ondo governorship elections draws nigh, politicians and stakeholders of both the ruling, and opposition parties have put preparation for their respective party primaries in top gear.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) top-notch aspirant, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA), on Thursday, 14th May, took his campaign efforts miles further, as he inaugurated an Advisory council to corroborate his campaign committee.
This Advisory Council comprises elders and stakeholders of the party across the entire 18 local government of the state. However, this council is saddled with the responsibility of advising the OBA Campaign Organization (OBACO) as well as overseeing campaign activities in their senatorial districts and LGA.
Speaking during the WhatsApp centered inauguration, Engr. E. O Jones, Chairman, OBACO Advisory Council urged appointed advisors to work assiduously towards OBA’s emergence at the primaries while respecting global best practices during the covid-19 pandemic which has limited physical contact during this campaign period.
Engr. Jones, while expressing confidently, said that Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA) is the man that must win the PDP primaries, he also advised the entire committee and council to thread with maturity, intellectuality and pragmatism in their bid to win the heart of the delegates.
“Moreover, Akingboye’s strength which ostensibly is his quality and capability to turn around the ill-fortune of the state was never hidden in their submission about him and why they have rooted solidly for him.”
The group also declared their commitment to sourcing valid delegates, convince them and ensure OBA emerges PDP flagbearer.
Otunba Akingboye, in-turn appreciated the chairman and co-advisors for choosing to work with him amongst many in this race. He urged them to execute the duties bestowed on them with required zeal, diligence and loyalty.
Conclusively, he seized the opportunity of the inaugural meeting to delve into his resolve to improving lives all round if elected as the flag bearer and subsequently as the governor of Ondo State.
