OOU: Halimat Lawal (Lymar) Steps Down from Presidential Race – SUG Election

The Olabisi Onabanjo University Presidential race aspirant, Comrade Halimat Lawal (Lymar) has on Tuesday, June 12 step down.

Halimat Lawal who is the only female officially withdrew from the race on Tuesday via a “special notification message”. 
Suspicion however rose as she however endorsed fellow Presidential aspirant, Senator Akinbo Afolabi (Kempes) for the position.
She wrote;

“The task of daring history, intimidating the status quo and seeking for power/influence is never a child’s play but history, events, observers and lovers will fail to forget the brave and not the weak, the action takers and not the onlookers.

“With heaviness of heart, i hereby declare that I, Halima Arinola Lawal LYMAR (SUG Vice President 2017/2018) is officially quitting the race of the ongoing OOU SUG Presidential aspiration and nobly joining forces with Comrade Akinbo Afolabi (KEMPES) to emerge as OOU SUG President.

“Frankly, it will ever remain an evergreen memory to me especially the love, sacrifice , encouragement and loyalty of my esteemed supporters. You are all not just wonderful but golden at hearts, i pray may you all be uplifted. It must also be noted that the devilish actions of backward political opponents playing politics with bitterness will forever hunt them.”

According to source, the incumbent SUG Vice President had recently accused fellow Presidential aspirant, Shodunke Olatunji (Tee Jay) of hacking her portal. 
The leaked portal results had alleged that the Halimat  does not have the required CGPA to contest for the forthcoming election.
