Opinion: Oyegun is a Virus in APC ~ Obayemi Williams

If you can drop your sentiment for reality and conduct an in-depth investigation into the immediate past administration of Chief John Odigie Oyegun as National Chairman of ruling APC, you will be shocked to know of how this man alongside with few National officers of our party allegelly took heavy money from President Goodluck Jonathan/PDP in 2015 Presidential Election in the country, in the strong belief that Mohammadu/APC might find it rather difficult to win the election.

I was indeed shocked to my speechless, and my strength almost gone away from me when in 2016, the Head of the Security officers at the National Secretariat of our Party told me to my face of how these respectable officers clanderstinely took side with President Goodluck Jonathan of PDP, allegedly took heavy money from him in the strong belief that Mohammadu Buhari of APC might find it rather difficult to win the election.

According to him, he had led other security officers to the gigantic office of the National Chairman to felicitate with him on the victory recorded by his party at the poll, and to further assure him of adequate security protection at their respective duty posts. According to him, he said the responses they got from the National Chairman took them by surprise and were indeed marvelled at his sour and sorrowful mood.

Investigation later revealed to them that the National Chairman and few other National officers had their hands soaked by their clanderstine conducts, hence their sorrowful moods. I was so curious, l wanted to find out further if all of them allegedly involved in the prodigal act. He said no, he pointed to Engr Segun, the then Deputy National Chairman, South as a man of clean and clear conscience.
