OSUN PDP & ADEMOLA ADELEKE: NO HOPE FOR THE MASSES

When news of the exclusion of the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the last election Sen. Ademola Adeleke from the case of exam malpractice which had hitherto been a bottleneck used by the APC to derail his ambition rented the air few days back the party man in me celebrated but not for long before the rational thinking man in me took over. I had more questions than answers.

Why is the APC being so nice to its main opposition challenger?

We all know the gimmicks played by politicians to win elections, we know how far we go to win elections, this is why I believe we have to be cautious and carefully analyze this Greek gift handed to us by our enemies.

First, it is a known fact that this case is the reason why the PDP candidate absconded the country and is being used by the APC to keep him at bay.

Now with an election approaching one must wonder what kind of love an hunter would have for his prey to release him from his trap knowing such prey might never fall into his trap again.

One must wonder why the APC would release a candidate that defeated them in an election from their clutches knowing another election is around the corner and same person seeks to snatch power from them in a no distant future.

Is the APC now so confident of victory that they’ll want to help their main challenger clear all obstacles to enable him run?

Are they so benevolent to the point of the point of removing their arsenals from the battlefield to allow their enemy smooth passage through the war front.

Considering the goodwill and back and forth gestures between Dr Deji Adeleke and the APC led FG in forms of contracts and donations from both parties, it cannot be far fetched neither do we need a dibia or prophet to tell us that the APC has entered into an alliance with Sen. Adeleke to the detriment of PDP and the masses of Osun at large.

How else can one describe the purposeful destabilization of the party and gestures of goodwill towards our main opposition by the Adeleke’s?

Of what interest is it to the APC to see their main challenger free of all bottlenecks that can impede his victory in their favour?

These and many more demands answer.

The PDP is seen as the last hope of the masses but unfortunately, that hope is being traded with by few individuals to the detriment of all.
