Oyo Assembly Suspends 13 LG Chairmen

The Oyo State House Assembly, on Tuesday, suspended 13 Caretaker Chairmen over the Local Governments Areas and Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) in the state.

The 13 chamber directors were suspended uncertainly.

Oyo Assembly Suspends 13 LG Chairmen

The State Assembly had before educated the chamber supervisors to submit report of earth moving gear in their boards. The Assembly had also taken steps to suspend the board supervisors in the event that they neglected to present the reports.

The choice to suspend the overseer directors were taken at the entire meeting following the disappointment of the Chairmen to get together to 23rd of October, 2020 cutoff time.


The suspension was because of “resistance to the goal of the House on accommodation of status of earthmoving gear in their individual spaces to the House as mentioned.”

The influenced board territories are:

Akinyele East LCDA;

Ido LG;

Oluyole LG;

Ibadan North East LG;

Lagelu West LCDA;

Soro LCDA;

Ogbomosho Central LCDA;

Ogbomosho South LCDA;

Ajorosun LCDA;

Ibarapa North West LCDA;

Itesiwaju LG;

Oyo East LG and

Oyo South East LCDA.
