Participate in the first Wiki Loves Earth in Nigeria Photo Challenge! #WLENigeria #WLE2017

Participate in the first “Wiki Loves Earth in Nigeria Photo Challenge”, as Wikimedia affiliates.The event which is recognised by Wikimedia User Groups is an international photographic contest that focus on natural heritage sites and landscapes.

It is the first time it will be coming to Nigeria. It will hold from 10th June to 9th July, 2017.

Here the public or participants takes photos of heritage sites, upload them to Wikimedia Commons, where they can then be used on Wikipedia and elsewhere.

 This event is opened to everyone (photographer), organizational volunteer, or both.

 Event Time Line

  • Start date: 10 June 2017
  • End date : 10 July 2017
  • Results: 10 August 2017

Prize to be won

Cash prizes will be awarded to best three images.
  •  70,000 naira
  •  50,000 naira
  •  40,000 naira
  •  

Other categories

  • Top Contributor (by numbers of photographs) 20,000 NGN
  • Top 10 contributors (by number of photographs) will be rewarded with WLE T-shirt and all participants of the competition will be rewarded by certificate of Participation.
