A member of the House of Representatives representing Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency, Patrick Aisowieren, on Sunday, 12th April, played host to the 12 APC ward chairmen in Orhionmwon local government area of Edo State who were in his house for the purpose of discussing ways to raise awareness on the COVID-19 pandemic and offer palliatives to cushion the stay-at-home order of the state government.

Patrick Aisowieren who expressed pains on the ravaging Coronavirus said he has invited the chairmen on the need to apply the party structure to expand enlightenment campaign against the deadly virus and seek the best approach to palliatives for the constituents to cushion the effects of the stay-at-home order by the state government.

He applauded the Federal and Edo State government for its genuine efforts at battling the scourge and appreciated the ward chairmen for due diligence, and standing by the people and government of Mr. Godwin Obaseki at all times, promising to implement the two phase approach against the current predicaments as agreed upon shortly.

The lawmaker seized the opportunity to felicitate with constituents on the remembrance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ insisting that despite the ravaging pandemic, our faith in the finished work of Christ can turn things around for good.

The chairman of Orhionmwon APC Ward chairmen’s forum, Mr. Brodrick Afona who hinted the representative on their desire to always be on the same page with him appreciated the legislator for always giving listening ears and offering succour to the people which actually distinguish his style of representation.

Other speakers including the ward chairman of Evboesi ward 10 said, “we are here to consult with you as usual, and we are glad of your level of reception. We wish to state once more that, where you are we will always be”.

Rt. Hon. Patrick Aisowieren later received the local government APC women leader Madam Ayo Osayande in company of the women leaders of the 12 wards while maintaining strict adherence to social distancing, masking and hand washing.
