Men, according to reports, have been amputating their penis due to bad reactions to Viagra.

Over the past two years 279 men have suffered side effects after popping tsildenfil pills – the umbrella term for Viagra.

On the more mild end of the spectrum, dozens of men have been left with persistent and painful erections known as priapism, and two said the little blue pill caused their noses to block.

Known to the researchers, 28 people have lost their lives in just 24 month after taking the sildenafil and according to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), it is not clear whether the drug was the primary cause of death in any of the cases.

One man reacted so badly to the drug that his penis had to be removed, with a further two enduring banana like wonks in their manhoods.

Ten other men reported blurry vision after taking Viagra, with a further ten claiming the pill had caused heart problems, The Sun reported.

An MHRA spokesman said: “Viagra is considered an effective treatment for of erectile dysfunction and to improve exercise capacity in serious life-limiting lung conditions called pulmonary arterial hypertension.”

The reported side effects of sildenafil are many and diverse.
