PLOT TO ARREST AKPARAWA EPHRAIM INYANGEYEN UNCOVERED

Moments after the highly unconvincing conviction, which we believe to be politically influenced by Governor Udom Emmanuel and his cronies, of Senator Bassey Albert Akpan by a Federal High Court 1 in Uyo presided over by Justice Agatha Okeke on Thursday December 1st, 2022, the campaign Organization of Akparawa Ephraim Inyangeyen, REDEMPTION 2023, has gotten credible intelligence that there is a deep seated plot by Governor Udom Emmanuel’s led administration to storm the residents of Ephraim Inyang both in Uyo and his country home at Ikot Ebiere, Onna Local Government Area with the sinister motive of planting incriminating substances, during the raid and use same to victimize and weaken his campaign streaks which has engulfed the entire Eket Senatorial District for YPP.

As a campaign Organization, we wish to draw the attention of the public that our Principal, Akparawa Ephraim Inyangeyen is a law abiding citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

As a former Nigerian Custom officer who served the country and retired honourably, and later became the Commissioner For Works and later Chief of Staff in Akwa Ibom State under Governor Udom Emmanuel, Akparawa Ephraim Inyang has never been found wanting in any ramification of the word “wanting” let alone harbouring incriminating substances such as guns, drugs and even Government properties in his custody, which the enemies want to plant in his houses during the planned raid, in search of government documents, according to them.

We call on members of the Young Progressives Party, YPP in the State and supporters, followers, loved ones of Akparawa Ephraim Inyang across Eket Senatorial District to remain calm and be vigilant as darkness can never overcome light. Those who have kept the State in darkness, hunger, poverty and economic hardship, these past 7 years, want to continue to hold the people captive, a situation which must be resisted and condemned.

We wish to caution those who want to plunge the State into chaos through the use of institutionalized authoritarianism to desist forthwith and allow democracy take its course. Akwa Ibom State is not a one party State.

Akparawa Ephraim Inyang-Eyen and the REDEMPTION 2023 Campaign Organization will not be deterred by any intimidating messages and threat to lives. Let those who live in glass houses remember that throwing of stones carries symbiotic effects.

We stand in the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. In Him we put our trust.

Signed,

Assam Abia
