President Muhammadu Buhari, have signed into law with executive power to revoke and banish all firearm or shotgun certificate or license in Nigeria.

This executive order will start from Saturday, 1st June 2019, therefore nobody in Nigeria will be allowed or authorised to own or carry gun, as they are now prohibited

All those that have license to carry any type of gun or even sell have been adviced to return their gun and certificates to the Police Headquarters, Abuja and not any police station around.

Those also affected are Civil Defense Corps and other security organisation as they will no longer have the authority to carry weapons. Only legitimate police officers and the army are fully authorised to carry a gun.
