Pres. Buhari takes stand on Herbal remedy for Coronavirus
The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari have taken a stand on the production of Herbal Remedies in curing of Coronavirus.
President Muhammadu Buhari says people are free to formulate herbal remedies but all formulations must be sent to the “statutory regulators” for “scientific verification.”
He says none of the remedies will be used unless certified by the regulatory institutions in Nigeria.
My position regarding all herbal or traditional medicines is that any such formulations should be sent to the statutory regulators for thorough scientific verification. We will not put anything to use in Nigeria without the endorsement of our regulatory institutions.
