President Buhari to address Nigerians by 8pm 27th April

FG: Civil servants should resume duty by 4th May 2020

President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation Monday, April 27, 2020, at 8 pm, This Presidential address will be done just like the one from the past I. E via radio, television etc.

 

In a statement on Monday afternoon, signed by Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, the president is expected to speak to Nigerians , which will make it the Third Presidential address, on the current Coronavirus Lockdown in place.

 

The statement urged Television, radio and other electronic media stations to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast.

 

It’s currently unclear if the president will extends or relax the lockdown as the number of Coronavirus cases are still rising. Last week, Nigerian governors under the aegis of the Nigerian Governors Forum, NGF, admonished the president to consider enforcing an interstate lockdown to curb the spread of the deadly virus.

 

Currently, Nigeria has over a thousand cases with close to 40 deaths.
