Combatants greetings to you all in the name of Aluta, the mother of all Struggles.

⏺ The SUG commend students who already responded to the revalidation exercise.

⏺ In response to plethora of calls, messages, open letter and other forms of communication, it is pertinent to state that the interest of Nigerian students is our priority.

⏺Pertaining to the ongoing revalidation exercise, which Is to serve the best interest of EKSU Students . Before the decision of the revalidation, due consultation was made by the University Management inviting the SUG and other relevant stake holders including Faculty Presidents and Department Presidents explaining the significance and prominence of the exercise which shows that the University Management did not in anyway impose on the student populace.

⏺Complains have continuously and outrageously storm the office of the SUG by some students expressing disregard towards the requirements of the exercise, such as evidence for the smooth running of the University affairs and help avert issues such as lecturers going on strike due to non payment of salary, and general welfarism.

⏺ It should be noted that Smart School has a legal agreement with the school management to generate revenue and any bridge of the agreement will lead to delay in the academic calendar (legal action) and we should have reminisce on how it got to the school portal? All of these happened before we assumed office. As an aspirants we fought gallantly for slashing of the payment into semesters for conveniency.

Eksuites, it’s important to state that WE are greatly privileged in the aspect of half payment of fees. In Other Universities, portal closes 2weeks or 3weeks after the date of resumption following which penalties are applied.

⏺ Nevertheless, we understand and also feel the pain of students, who are currently faced with the economic hardship that is bedeviling the country.

⏺ We appeal to all Eksuites to follow the decision in paying all necessary dues, because the entire SUG members are not exempted from payment of dues.

📺Any Student that is very sure that he/she made a genuine payment on previous EKSU portal and have issues at the revalidation center should come to SUB with all the relevant proof so we will consult the Management. We are very confident that such cases would be resolved.

📺Lastly, We also need to make it clear that SUG Team led by Comrade Gbadero is not a COWARD and we remain dedicated and committed to the welfarism of our dear Eksuites any day and time. And you can be sure that we shall see to the complains we have received as a means to make life convenient for all of us here on campus.
