Prince Sunday Ajayi: I didn’t collect N100million from Tinubu

Prince Sunday Ajayi Chairman of Lagos4Lagos movement have been sacked following allegations of him collecting N100million naira from an All Progress Congress (APC) Presidential aspirant, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, whilst also serving as a mole.

In a statement forwarded to GBETU, Sunday Ajayi says the accusation raised by the leader of Lagos4Lagos movement, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor is malicious.

The statement reads;

”My attention has been drawn to a malicious statement by Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor) claiming that I collected N100 million from Bola Tinubu.

Ordinarily, I wouldn’t have dignified a man whose life has been shrouded in controversy with an answer, but for the benefit of the general public and the undiscerning members of the movement who have been blindfolded by the shenanigans of a man whose dubious lifestyle of scavenging for funds is known to the people.

”For the records, I, Hon. Prince Sunday Ajayi, withdrew from the activities of Lagos4Lagos because of the questionable character and draconian lifestyle of Jandor. For someone to accuse me of collecting money from a man I have not spoken to or interacted with in the last 3 years shows the level of insanity and shallowness of a confused human being.

”I am indeed grateful that I saw this coming as I was warned severally that Jandor had an ugly past which he has guarded jealously and usually fights anyone who would oppose his style and actions.

”I dare Jandor to show proof of receipt of such transaction between me and Bola Tinubu, failure upon which I will have no choice but to institute a legal action against him.

For clarity, Jandor’s latest action is borne out of the frustration he has met in his fruitless quest to get a PDP ticket that was already placed out of his reach from the word go.

It would be interesting for the world to see the face of a liar called Jandor. It’s better for him to come out clean on how his arrogant lifestyle has led 70% percent of the movement to leave Lagos4Lagos.

He is a complete fraud that the Lagos PDP should be careful of if they intend to get any credibility.”

Recall that Jandor and members of the movement had few months ago defected from the ruling APC to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at an elaborate rally held at Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS.

He has also obtained the nomination form as one of the governorship aspirants in Lagos state, preparatory to 2023 general election.

According to the source, who preferred not to be mentioned, Ajayi had earlier perfected plans to hold a media briefing to announce his exit and return, along with his loyalists from Lagos4Lagos movement, to APC. Just like he also confirmed in his statement above.

The source said: “Jandor is highly disappointed at this development, particularly at a time where all is set for him to takeover the mantle of the exalted governorship office in Lagos with growing supporters come 2023 poll.

“However, Jandor was not taken by surprise because Ajayi has been asking for spurious amounts of money to be distributed among leaders across the 20 Local Government Areas, LGAs and 37 Local Council Development Areas, LCDA which Jandor often turned down over paucity of funds.

“Jandor made him (Ajayi) realise that the movement is based on personnel commitment and contributions and not on pecuniary gains which Ajayi has been championing.

“The development will not in anyway affect our good fortune as maximum support for Lagos4Lagos movement is intact and solid.

“We are moving forward towards our goal. No looking back. Good riddance to bad rubbish.”

Adediran, when he was contacted, confirmed the report, saying, “it is true, Ajayi remained expelled from Lagos4Lagos movement.”

Jandor have been able to get the movement back running, though rumor have it that leaders of the group are divided over the development, with some claiming that there was no proof for the allegation.

A member, Soyinka said, “He has been sacked. He is sacked because of the gift and many other things. He had been holding meetings with APC and rallying our members for APC. He can’t claim he did not collect any money.”

When asked if Ajayi denied collecting N100 million, Soyinka replied, “He won’t accept collecting money. Do you expect him to confirm or show you the bank details? In politics, do they transfer money for such a purpose?

“But why is he doing everything that he has been doing despite all entreaties. Elders of the movement had visited him. He just stopped coming to work and we are wondering what happened to him. He didn’t have any conversation with our leaders. He just started to call people and told them that they are going to APC.”

The Lagos4Lagos is a youth movement aimed at getting better governance for lagosians and replace all working chambers of the state with fresh minds.

Prince Sunday Ajayi has however promise to sue Jandor.
