International Hypeman KATOON: Salami Gbolahan Ibrahim also known as “KATOON (tha hypeman)” or simply KATOON is a popular international hypeman born in Nigeria in the 90’s, based in Surulere, Lagos.

He is a Dance Instructor, Hypeman and Club Manager.

He got the nick/stage name Katoon while in secondary school – his dance teacher then was giving nicknames to members of the dance crew and couldn’t figure the best name to give him since his dance style was unique, not until someone from the crowd shouted “Katoon”, hence the general acceptance. Since then the name “Katoon”
has become a brand to be reckoned with, plus he is someone you always want to be around.

Like every serious minded business person he got formal education at Junior Bishop Philips Academy (JSS), Ibadan, Oyo State; Ondo Boys High School, Ondo State, then graduated at the Universal School of Aviation, Air Ticket and Reservation Department (Ghana).

Katoon started hyping in 2013 at Climax Lounge, Egypt (a club on Yatch). He has hyped alongside top trending Dj’s like – Int. Dj Bhadmus(Egypt), Everblasing VDJ Da Boi (the music architec) (Egypt), Dj Jimmy Jat (Nigeria), Int.
Sleek Dj Mayz (Nigeria), Dj Neptune(Nigeria), Dj Humility (Nigeria), VDJ MK Two (Egypt), Dj Fat Sam (Egypt), Dj Kulet (Nigeria), Dj Mewsic (Nigeria), Amazine Dj Nestle(Nigeria), DJ Madengo (Australia) and many others. He has also worked with music artistes like – 2Baba, Kiss Daniel, Lilkesh, Terry G, Wande Coal, Small Doctor, Reekado Banks, CDQ, Mayorkun, Davido, Reminisce, Legely and many others, in clubs like – Salt ‘N’ Pepper Gold Lounge, Ilupeju,Lagos; Magestic Royal Club, Cairo, Egypt; Celebrity Lounge, Cairo, Egypt; Phlantropist Lounge Cairo, Egypt and many others.

He is currently one of the biggest and finest Hypeman in Nigeria Entertainment Industry.

Hypeman Katoon believes Sound, Interior, Dj, and Lighting are the major attraction for a good club, he believes a club can last without celebrities but stays better with celebrities.
