OLUBUKOLA OLABOOPO RIANATI: There are many reasons my heart gladdens when I think about Boripe/Boluwaduro constituency. As a citizen, I am proud of our heritage as one of the hardest working people in Osun State. We are blessed with human and natural resources in great abundance. We have some of the most resourceful women in the state and indeed Nigeria. This is good, but our people suffer from serious and prolonged neglect from politicians and political office holders and “good” is no longer enough. Government and legislative structures are built to provide for the people and when this fails, it leaves communities in total desolation.

From my consultations with various stakeholders within our constituency, one key passionate yearning of our people is the need for empowerment. The present representative in the House of Assembly can easily give an excuse of lack of adequate resources for over-looking this problem and for not providing for it. It is my strong belief that though it may be difficult, we shall find constructive and innovative ways to empower our people in a more rewarding way.

I have a strong desire to take Boripe/Boluwaduro constituency from good to great with a rejuvenated and more vibrant representation and government presence; the kind that will empower our youths with skills and opportunities to reach their full potentials, get our children in school and our women empowered and involved in active community building and quality healthcare for the elderly.

It is my humble intention to offer myself to represent the people of Boripe/Boluwaduro constituency as a member of the Osun State House of Assembly come 2015. Why do I want to do this being abreast of the full measure of the challenges that beset us as a people?

First of all, I am a woman and a mother. I know the great pain of seeing your children when and if they suffer. I know how to bring succour to a family and will do the same for my great people of Boripe/Boluwaduro constituency. A man is a good representative but a woman is even better. My intention is to care for our constituency as if it were my own family. The following information about my person is provided for your perusal and to solicit your support in this quest to realise my ambition to serve our community.
