In an interview session with QUEEN MFREKE EZEKIEL (MISS AKPOLY 2016), she speaks about what students should expect in the 2017 edition of Mr/Miss AKPOLY.
While speaking with Iktrends247 Crew, she said that this year’s edition of MR/MISS AKPOLY PAGEANT SHOW will be successful following her commitments and measures taken by her honourable office.
She added that she and her King, Mr Akpoly having organized an orientation for all the contestants about the online voting process on Thursday 22nd, 2017, contestants are set to take the center stage come 29 June, 2017 as they are now struggling to get their votes (LIKES) counted from friends and loved ones.
QUEEN MFREKE EZEKIEL added that this is the first time MR/MISS AKPOLY PAGEANT SHOW is going digital following the implementation of the Online (Facebook) Voting.
She later highlighted some of the challenges faced in her office since her emergence in her words:
“My challenges have been what some will say is a stepping stone, anywhere one of the major challenges I have faced have been not having time for myself due to meetings here and there. I have passion for my studies so most time when attending an impromptu functions while am supposed to be reading either for a test or examination it affects me partially”.
When asked how the emergence of the new King and Queen will look like in terms of screening and judgment, she said that no contestants will be emerged based political, Family or Religious background.
“I really want this year’s pageant show to be free and fair, if there has been anything like political settlement or partiality in the making of the King and Queen, am here to put an end to it as my office will not allow any form of Selfish interest during the judgment.”
“We don’t need to give the Crown to someone that won’t be able to represent the Polytechnic in the State and Federal Level; we will only give the Crown to any contestant that deserves it, someone that will be a role model with a good character to show good example to other students of the polytechnic.”
We are expecting Miss Uniuyo, Miss Heritage, Akwa Ibom Aniverssary Queen and Queens from other Universities and Polytechnic to come and be a witness of the making of MR/MISS AKPOLY 2017” She added.
