In the spirit of Ramadan, London Based Nigerian music act, Damibliz have confessed of his willingness to retire as an Imam after his sojourn in secular music.

 

The Packham hitmaker believes this is the best way to give back to Allah after all He has done for him.

 

Imams are appointed by the state to work at mosques and they are required to be graduates of an İmam Hatip high school or have a university degree in Theology.

Quoting a Farewell Dua For Ramadan (sadaqat-l-jariya), Damibliz says –

“Ya Allah this blessed month of Ramadan is now coming to an end, please help me to remain steadfast in your Deen. Grant me the knowledge of Deen.

Ya Allah, you are truly merciful, please forgive me. Choose for me, what is best. Ya Allah help me to succeed in this life and the hereafter. Ya Allah, if I have been in anyway ungrateful, unjust, dishonest; please forgive me.

 

 



Ya Allah, I don’t know if I’ll be alive next Ramadan, please forgive me. Save me from hell fire and grant me a place in Paradise.

Ya Allah, include me in the people who will be put in heaven without accountibility. Ya Allah, help me to spread your Deen in the best of ways. Ya Allah please let me not be among the backbitters.

Ya Allah forgive me if I have been among the arrogant. Ya Allah forgive me and the person who sent this to us. Grant us success. Verily you are most forgiving, most merciful.”

Moreover, after Ramadan Fast, the “Jowabayi” coroner is set to release a single entitled “Formula 1” for massive ‘consumption’ under the label, Daramin Records.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) has told Muslims across the country to look for the new moon of Shawwal on Tuesday, May 11.

 

The deputy secretary-general of NSCIA, Prof Salisu Shehu, made the disclosure in a statement issued via Facebook on Saturday, May 8.

 

He disclosed that the announcement was made based on the advice of the National Moon Sighting Committee (NMSC).

 

 


The spokesperson said:

 

”In preparation for the 1442 AH ‘Idul-Fitri celebrations, the National Moon Sighting Committee (NMSC) of the NSCIA has advised the President-General that the crescent of Shawwal should be searched for on Tuesday, 11th May 2021 equivalent to 29 Ramadan, 1442 AH.”

 

 


Shehu explained that if the moon is sighted on Tuesday, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, will declare Ramadan on Wednesday, May 12.

He, however, pointed out that if the new moon is not sighted on Tuesday night, Thursday, May 13, 2021, automatically becomes the first of Shawwal, 1442 AH (‘Id day).
