Recycle Points wins $30,000 Award at the 2018 #ZAMBEZI PRIZE

Nigerian based recycling company, Recycle Points wins  $30,000 runner up prize at the 2018 ZAMBEZI PRIZE Award for Innovation in Financial Inclusion, on Thursday, 20th September.

Recycle Points, the only venture that represented Nigeria came home with that recogninion.

The Zambezi Preze Award was powered by Master Card Foundation and #MITLegatum.

On their Instagram page, Recycle Points says “It’s indeed a huge validation of our work to support the waste recovery value chain by rewarding environmentally responsible post-consumers to facilitate a circular economy. Our model is fast becoming a Social Currency that individuals and corporate entities can use to trade their recyclable waste for valuable incentives.”

Wnning the grand prize was WALA who got $100,000, while Tulaa, also a runner up got $30,000 and the other 7 very outstanding social enterprises got $5,000 each.
