Remi Abati (Abatioloty) – From Lagos + Fire

Remi Abati popularly known as Abatiology is a London-based Nigerian, with an unquantifiable passion for music and creativity. He is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and doctoral researcher at King’s College London. As a Lagos-born chap, Remi developed a strong interest in social issues such as politics, education, fairness, and equality. These range of issues resonate throughout his writings and composition.

Remi led a series of collaborative music projects with different organizations in the UK, and the compositions from those projects were performed at high-profile venues in London.

As a recording artist, Remi’s latest release is a five-track EP titled ‘From Lagos, which can be accessed on digital music stores. The music is embellished in the spirit of philosophy, politics, entertainment, and cultural syncopation. It captures societal issues, provides space for reflection, and is rhythmically uplifting.

He currently teaches at Kings College London. He is a member of the board of trustees, for the Nations of Migration in Diaspora (NOMAD) and Succeeds 2 the Max, both charity organizations based in London.

Remi’s goal is to use his type of music to correct and hopefully change the irregularity in society.
