Former Big Brother housemate Rico Swavey is dead.
His friend and co-housemate Alex Asomugha aka Alex Unusual announced the unfortunate incident.
Alex tweeted the development on Thursday morning.
She tweeted: “This was not what we agreed Rico. Rest in peace #Ricoswarvey.”
Patrick Fakoya, also known as Rico Swavey, he was involved in an accident on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
His management denied his death on Wednesday, October 12.
The former BBNaija Housemate had been on life support as his friends and fellow housemates rallied to raise funds for his medical bills.
Nigerian entertainers launched a fundraiser for Swavey on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. His fellow BBNaija ex-housemate, Tobi Bakre, made the announcement on his Twitter page on Wednesday, as he asked the public for donations.
Unfortunately, barely 24 hours after the donation was announced, another former BBNaija Housemate, Neo Mobor Akpofure, announced on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Thursday morning, October 13, 2022, that Rico Swavey is dead.
According to Alex, the accident occurred “hours ago”, adding that the doctors were trying to resuscitate Rico Swavey as at the time she left the hospital.
She further asked fans to put Rico Swavey in their prayers, as he was in a critical position.
Alex also said that she was staying positive concerning the sad occurrence, as she also shared a screenshot of the tweet on her Instagram story. She however, did not state where the accident occurred or how it happened.
The model tweeted, “Good morning sweethearts. Please put @iamricoswavey in your prayers today.
“He was involved in a ghastly accident hours ago and the doctors are still trying to resuscitate him as I just left the hospital. It’s really critical.
“I’m staying positive. #PrayForRicoSwavey”
But on Thursday morning, he was confirmed dead.
”Rest in peace Rico, this is a hard pill to swallow. Damn 💔🕯#RipSwavey” tweeted Neo, another BBNaija star.
Bakre shared a photo of them together in the Big Brother House and said, “We lost him. But thanks a lot guys. God knows best.”
