SAGG congratulates Jegede and Ikengboju ahead of October 10 – – The Stevocracy Advocates for Good Governance (SAGG) congratulates Comrade Eyitayo Jegede, SAN and his Deputy, Hon. Gboluga Ikengboju ahead of the forthcoming election’ victory in Ondo State.
This is coming after the candidate, Jegede was brutally attacked on Wednesday.
In a statement signed by Comrade Adegoriola Steve, the SAGG President, “The hatreds and attacks displayed yesterday at Oba-Akoko by APC senseless agbero (supporters) and their commander-in-chief of agbero in Ondo state, will soon be announced as the former governor of Ondo state few weeks time, has won the hearts of the eighty percent of ondo state people.
Comrade Steve says, “It also speaks louder than before that Eyitayo’s campaign team has taken over dominance from the rejected incumbent governor of Ondo state.”
Recall the PDP flag bearer alerted the public on Wednesday over the attack and accused the incumbent Governor of it. He also vowed to defend himself thence.
“We were scheduled to be in Oba Akoko and we have police approval, the governor’s campaign was supposed to be somewhere in the south.

“We followed all laid down processes required to proceed on peaceful campaigns by the security agencies, and having been duly cleared to proceed on campaigns across Akoko South West Local Government, Gov Rotimi Akeredolu led his convoy our way against the well-established norms for peaceful elections.
“ln all about 15 vehicles were shot at by these thugs who were brandishing pump action. Being in government is not a license to kill. I have never seen this type of desperation in my life.
“We are not violent we are focus on winning this election, we would not be deterred, we will defend ourselves.

“We will win this election, their plan is to instil fear in us, we are the focus, we are courageous. This desperation should be condemned.
“To avoid bloodshed we had to halt the campaign because of the sophisticated weapon brandished by the thugs. There is no reason for a political party to have armed thugs carrying pump-action and firing the same to the opposition.
“Nobody’s life should be at risk. The people’s will be done. We will continue to preach peace.
“We will defend ourselves henceforth. We won’t be cowed or be deterred.”
The SAGG group says that “the person of a questionable character, Arakunrin AKeti have shown that Eyitayo’s campaign has won the hearts of the eighty percent of ondo state people.”
They therefore appeal to Gov. Akeredolu to accept defeat and allow Jegede to ‘fix his mess’.
“I appeal to the incumbent governor to accept defeat and his four years of non performance and leave the God’s chosen candidate to do the Job he was sent to do in order to fix his mess of four years. EYITAYO FOR ALL.”
