In furtherance to her resolve to appreciate her teeming supporters and empower her constituents, the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial district, Uche Ekwunife on Sunday, 21st July, distributed a second batch of tricycles, popularly known as “Keke Napep” to her Ward Coordinators.
Recall that Senator Ekwunife a month ago began the distribution of tricyles to some constituents of Anambra Central who serve as her Ward Coordinators barely a week after she was inaugurated.
Addressing her supporters while handing-over of the Tricyles to their new owners, Ekwunife noted that the support she received during her election has re-energized her desire to deliver for the people.
She urged the beneficiaries to put the tricycles into good use for their benefits and that of their immediate wards and assured them of her resolve to remain a strong voice in the Senate and deliver a representation that will impact meaningfully on the lives of ndi Anambra Central.
Also speaking at the event, a PDP Chieftain and former Senator of Anambra Central Senatorial district, High Chief Ben Obi, described Senator Ekwunife’s gesture as uncommon. He noted that she has shown a good example of people-orientated leadership.
“I have known Iyom to be a performer, therefore, I am not surprised over what is happening here today. Just as the Parish Priest said at a thanksgiving event of a colleague we attended today, Iyom’s connection and delivery for the people dates back to her days in the House of Reps when she served the good people of Anaocha, Dunukofia and Njikoka federal constituency. Her strides remain uncommon and unbeatable. If she chooses to vie for a higher office tomorrow, I, Senator Ben Obi, Ojeliigbo Ozi will not hesitate to give her the necessary support”.
Some of the beneficiaries took turns to appreciate Senator Ekwunife for her benevolence and for not reneging in her commitment to better the lives of her constituents.
