SENATOR UCHE EKWUNIFE DISTRIBUTES COVID-19 PREVENTIVE MATERIALS, FOOD ITEMS

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife has facilitated the distribution of Covid-19 preventive materials, and bags of rice across Anambra Central Senatorial District.


The distribution of the materials and items which began on Sunday is part of the Senator’s efforts to bring succour to her constituents, particularly those who are worst hit by the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic challenges.

Addressing some of the constituents visited, the leader of the distribution team, Mrs Ifeyinwa Chinwuko urged constituents to take precautionary measures towards curbing the spread of the virus.


Mrs Chinwuko noted that maintaining social distancing, avoiding large crowds, sanitizing and washing of hands regularly as well as adhering to general personal hygiene is part of the preventive measures which can be taken to curb the spread of the virus.

 

According to Kingsley Ubani, SA Media to Senator Uche Ekwunife, the team visited markets and homes of constituents to sensitize them about the virus and its preventive measures as well as distribute the preventive materials and bags of rice.


Speaking on behalf of the Senator, Mrs Chinwuko assured constituents that the distribution of these items which began today will last for days, and that more items will be distributed across various communities to assist the poor and the vulnerable throughout this period.
