She noted that the responsibility of a Senator which includes lawmaking, oversight and representation are vital in driving good governance in Nigeria.

“Even before I was sworn-in in June I facilitated a skills acquisition training programme for women and youths in my constituency. I also distributed about 44 tricycles immediately after I was sworn-in. But beyond this, we are committed to doing more, particularly in the area of lawmaking to aid the federal government in formulating policies that will drive good governance”.

Ekwunife also stated some of the gains expected from the Public Procurement Amendment Bill she sponsored in the Senate. According to her, the Bill which has been passed by the Senate will improve the contract award process, particularly in reducing the time frame for contract bidding, and strengthening the overall public procurement processes.

She further reiterated her commitment to make case against lopsided appointments or projects against the South East just as she intervened in the non-inclusion of South East in the Board of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

Uche Ekwunife also wish the people of Anambra a joyous Christmas celebration and a prosperous 2020.

She assured the people of Anambra Central of her resolve to ensure that at least every community in the zone benefit from her zonal intervention projects, while noting that facilitating employment for the unemployed youths remains topmost on her priority.
