SEPTEMBER: The Road So Far with Hon. Olubankole Wellington

Hon. Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, the leading candidate for Eti-Osa House of representatives has continued to make great strides in preparation for campaign season starting from the 28th of September 2022.

As millions across the nation registered for their PVCs before the July deadline, Banky and his team ensured the process ran smoothly in Eti Osa by providing hundreds of volunteers and logistics assistance. He charged voters to take this election seriously as every vote counts and goes a long way to deciding our nation’s future.

Furthermore, Banky sponsored numerous Eti-Osa GCE students as part of his Education Empowerment agenda, in a bid to continue playing a part in fixing Nigeria, one community, ward, and policy at a time.

Hon. Olubankole Wellington was chosen amongst 20 remarkable African youth leaders for the Desmond Tutu African Leadership Fellowship, a 10 month intensive leadership training programme, with numerous classes in Cape Town, South Africa and in Oxford University, United Kingdom.

Commenting on the great honour, Banky W said ‘if you’re really serious about improving your society, a good place to start is by improving yourself’. He was in sessions coached by notable great minds such as David Cameron, Prof. Ngaire Woods (Dean of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government), Economist Stefan Dercon, and our very own Dr Oby Ezekwesili.

In addition to his many wins, Banky served as the keynote speaker in Zambia at the Mwaknakazi Okongola conference. He had the pleasure of having discussions with the Minister of Information and Media, Honorable Chushi Kasanda, as well as other prominent Zambians in business and politics. He shared actionable insights from his life experiences at the conference and was delighted to engage with the hundreds of Zambian youth present.

Since his victorious landslide double primaries win until today, Banky has been joining forces with crucial stakeholders and brainstorming development goals for Eti Osa with his team of sterling nation builders.

As campaign season kicks off this month, Banky intends to strengthen and motivate his volunteer base. An ARMY is being raised but we need many more people to join the squad.
