Background/Education
Mayowa Okedairo Okikiola simply regarded as SLEEK DJ MAYZ was born in Lagos Island in Lagos State Nigeria; which is also where he hails from.

He attend St Mary’s Private School Ajele, Falomo Senior High School and then moved on to boast his musical career at Wynton House of Music in Nairobi, Kenya.

Interestingly, Mayz’s first play was on a Naming ceremony. After making up his mind to finally push DJing further, his second love after education, he decided to go for that job on that faithful day. His uncle, skeptic but encouraging gave him the job but with another DJ incase he ‘muds’ it up. But with experience playing for small small shows while in Secondary School, Sleek DJ Mayz earned his name by giving the ‘support DJ’ rest. He thrilled the crowd through the day and all night. ‘Your Lagos Feeling” that day declared a feeling that has earned him various reputation through the wheels of steel.

Mayz is also regarded as an Event Entrepreneur.

My play is unique because I don’t just play hit songs for the crowd to cheer or dance to, I play to suit each event and the attendees. So don’t be surprised when you hear the most random songs at my gig.
