Some APC Governors against Tinubu-Shettima ticket

Some APC Governors told me that they are against Asiwaju and Shettima Ticket, says Daniel Bwala.

Daniel Bwala was appointed by Atiku Abubakar as one of the two spokespersons for his 2023 presidential campaign.

Bwala resigned from the All Progressive Congress few weeks ago after he spoke out against the Muslim-Muslim ticket.

Speaking during Thursday’s edition of Politics Today on Channels Television, Bwala disclosed that there are some prominent figures in the APC that are against the Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima ticket.

According to him, he was told by some sitting and former APC Governors that they are not in support of the ticket.

“Let me even tell you there are former and sitting governors that personally told me that they are kicking against that ticket. This is a reality check and Nigerians are looking at it.” the legal practitioner said.

He also stated that if it were about competency, why was the governor of Kaduna state Nasir El-Rufai not appointed as running mate.

“If it is about competency, why didn’t Asiwaju Tinubu appoint Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. He was one of the persons that played crucial roles to his emergence as the presidential flag bearer.” he said.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday received the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2023 elections, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate Kassim Shettima at the State House in Abuja.
