SOS from Mapoly Staff - SOS Gov. Dapo Abiodun

“Today, more than 700 academic and non-academic staff in Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) Abeokuta are suffering irregular salary payment against their counterpart civil servants in the Ogun State services.

The April 2020 salary which was paid so reluctantly at the very end of July is only one out of the 4 months owed the workers. Throughout the Covid pandemic lockdown, there was nothing like palliative for any of them, no MAY, JUNE, JULY and the current concluding August salary for such a large population of workers in the Ogun State educational sector where there is great expectation that students will continue to enjoy the online lectures as well as administrative attention they deserve by these salary starved workers who have so many dependants.

When the anxious workers get tired and fail to get suiting assuring information about their salary from the three Union leaders (ASUP, SANIP and NASU) and the current MAPOLY Management, they resort to fabricating rumours that purport the various leaderships including the State Governor Dr. Dapo Abiodun as insensitive, callously indifferent to these workers’ plight and suffering in silence because they seem to be be tired of being fed with lies about paying them the outstanding 4 months (now) salaries.

SOS from Mapoly Staff SOS - Gov. Dapo Abiodun

This information about MAPOLY that was self sufficient to pay all the bills before the damages done by the past Governor is appealing to well meaning Ogun State senior citizens and our respected ROYAL fathers across the State to beg Mr. GOVERNOR to please consider the welfare of more than 700 hard working staff and moulders of the future as proud leaders here and now, not the future that is already here.

Please beg Governor Dapo Abiodun to remember MAPOLY staff as part of his responsibilities. Let him stop the pain of hunger and shame inflicted on families and their relations by devising an enduring method to pay the 700+ MAPOLY staff as he pays the civil servants promptly and regularly.”
