Sowore comes for Tinubu over CoS Gambari

Founder of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore has slammed Bola Tinubu after the former Lagos State Governor, reacted to the appointment of Ibrahim Gambari as the new Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sowore, a human rights activist and #RevolutionNow convener is accusing the 68-year-old national leader of the All Progressive Congress party of turning a blind eye during the “pro-democracy days.”

The activist, in a Wednesday tweet, said Tinubu, “and the rest of his sojourners” who “were in bed with the enemies of the Nigerian people … will all face ultimate disgrace.”

He says, “This is how you know that @AsiwajuTinubu, the rest of his sojourners during the pro-democracy days were in bed with the enemies of the Nigerian people, they were Janus-faced marauders who “run with the hare and hunt with the hounds” . They will all face ultimate disgrace”

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, tweeted that “The appointment of Prof. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari as the new Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari is a laudable one.”

He said: “I congratulate Professor Gambari on his selection and commend President Buhari for making such a thoughtful and prudent choice at this crucial moment.”

“Just as he did in the past when he served as Minister of External Affairs in the 1980s. My personal knowledge of Chief of Staff Gambari is that he is an erudite man who knows and loves this country, who strongly believes in the Nigerian project & President’s change agenda.”

Tinubu added: “He is no stranger to our party, APC, and its progressive national vision. Over a long and illustrious career, Prof. Gambari has proved his mettle nationally and internationally. His resume takes a back seat to none.”

In addition, Omoyele Sowore said that “Professor Ibrahim Gambari, who some people claim is an intelligent man, used his ‘intelligence’ to defend the draconian policies of the Abacha regime while he was Nigeria’s Permanent Representative at the United Nations. He was one of Abacha’s equivalents of the ‘goebel’ representing the infamous dictator with vigor and a propensity that could only be found in fascist Italy of old.”
