Summary and Arguements on the Death of Mrs Olufunke Olakunri

On Friday, 12th July, Mrs Olufunke Olakunrin, daughter of Afenifere leader, Reuben Fasoranti, was killed along Ore expressway by gunmen who have been tagged Fulani, while coming from Akure. No one knows if it was a deliberate attack or a coincidence of fate.

According to the to Late Olufunke Olakunrin’s driver, Tayo Ogundare, some masked men suddenly came out of the bush to attack their vehicle and that they shot at the vehicle just after the Ore toll gate, also saying that the deceased died at the hospital due to gunshot injuries.

TVC even got him on video, watch video if you can, this is an epistle.

“We had a stop over to buy soft drinks at Ore. We were attacked at Ore toll gate by some masked men who emerged from the bush.

“At this point, madam asked me to reverse which I did. They started shooting at us and other vehicles.

“In the process my boss was hit by bullets. Some of us in the vehicle escaped. We later rushed her to the hospital where she gave up the ghost,” said Tayo.

The Nigeria Police, through Femi Joseph, supported him adding that it was a general attack by hoodlums between Kajola and Ore along Ondo-Ore road, a contrary to that of Afenifere’s spokesperson, Yinka Odumakin, who said that that “Mrs Funke Olakunrin, based on accounts of all eyewitnesses, was killed by Fulani herdsmen who emerged from the bush, shot her and killed her in the process.”

Nigeria Police statement in quote-summary-

“It happened at a spot between Kajola and Ore, where some hoodlums numbering about 15, attacked two vehicles, 1 Toyota Land Cruiser and 1 Camry.”

“The the Land Cruiser was carrying five passengers, including the deceased, which we later identified as one Funke Olakunrin.

“They shot the woman, we rushed her to the hospital, but we lost her.

“Other four occupants that were abducted, we have rescued them.

“Inside the Camry too, we had three occupants, they were also abducted, but we have rescued them. We have rescued a total of seven persons taken during the attack.

“There is still one person left that we are still looking for, and we are working frantically to ensure that the hoodlums are brought to justice and ensure any other hostage were rescued”.

But towards the end of the statement, Joseph contradicted himself saying, he would not confirm if the attackers were Fulani herdsmen, until an arrest was made, since of course, it would be difficult to identify the persons and where they came from, unless arrested.

No, you can’t shave the head of a man in his absence

You have to wait for us to arrest them. Somebody you have not arrested, it is difficult for you to establish his ethnicity.

crime is a crime and a criminal is a criminal.

Don’t forget of all Yoruba tribes, that the Afenifere has been at the forefront of the campaign against the building of cattle settlement for herdsmen earlier promoted by the federal government – the RUGA. No I am not saying, I just want you to think. I mean, its a general thought.

The herdsmen did this because ANIFERE is strongly against RUGA. Remember Arewa Consultation Forum gave southerrn leaders a 30-day utimatum to accept RUGA or “else”. Well, this killing of Anifere leader’s daughter is the “else”. You will see they will also target Ohaneze leaders’ families. This is one of the ways they plan to Fulanize Nigeria. Just yesterday the news broke that the new Nigerian passportt has herdsmen and cattle in its watermark. These are the herdsmen that are terrorizing central northern nigeria and southern Nigeria being glorified. Why only one ethnic group? At this moment the federal government is sponsoring the fulani nationwide radio? Why only one ethnic group? I want to see those that disgraced baba OBJ when he alerted Nigerians that Buhari’s main objective was to fulanize Nigeria. If all these recent events are not enough for them to believe, something must be wrong with their thinking.

If this is true, then there is no holding back of the Yoruba Summit Group, represented by Publicity Secretary, Mogaji Gboyega Adejumo, as they go on defence saying,

This is where The Yoruba cross the border into Angrytown, and not even for the time being:
Tí’kú bá ń’pa òótọ́;
Tí’lẹ̀ ń’gbe òṣìkà;
Bó pẹ́, bó yá, ire á máa sú ni í ṣe — if the wicked prosper and the righteous suffer, doing good becomes quite burdensome…The Yoruba are no more ready to continue to carry the burden of an ungrateful, unfruitful union.

And directly,

And to the enablers, prevaricators, protectors of the itinerant murdering Fulani herdsmen, a plea — Leave us to mourn and bury our Dead.
None-such fake condolences are needed at this time:
Ò ń ṣe mí, ò ń gbà mi; báwo la ṣe ń dúpẹ́ lọ́wọ́ ẹni tó ń ṣe ní!?

Not to miss in the action, the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) has vowed to retaliate the dead of the deceased.

Not surprised at statement from the Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who sounds like the warning he has been giving has come to pass.

ACTION IS BETTER THAN WORDS OF FURY
The brazen terror attack on Yoruba soil by Fulani terrorists yesterday must not go unanswered. Let the murder of the daughter of Afenifere Chairman Funke Fasoranti Olakunrin by Fulani terrorists be another sombre but timely reminder to the great Yoruba race and their media in particular that supporting evil has its unintended consequences.

I hate to say it but this sad incident goes to underscore the prediction I made long ago – that this Govt of Nigeria as constituted from 2015 is a murderous Fulani Wahabbi cabal on a Jihadi mission to terrorise, subjugate and enslave everybody unfortunate enough to be part of the British colonial experiment gone mad called Nigeria.

I specifically warned the Yoruba race and their dominant media that supporting Fulani atrocities against Biafra and suppression of the truth about the true identity of Jubril Aminu Al-Sudani because of Tinubu’s 2023 presidential ambition will not only be counter-productive but will turn around to consume them. They called me a merchant of hate speech. Today I ask them, what is happening?

It is unfortunate that at a time of great peril like this, weak men hand-picked by the same Fulani caliphate that are persecuting everybody today, are the ones in charge of the leadership of the South. Fulani terror will only stop when we confront them with an equal force, mere words will not do it.

An immoral and spineless Yoruba media should shoulder the blame for the death of this prominent Yoruba daughter and the wider rampaging savagery of Fulani herdsmen across Nigeria. They failed to objectively report the truth but instead chose to malign and attack IPOB that saw the danger the country was sliding into way ahead of everybody.

The time for the mother of all popular resistance is now not tomorrow. Only an IPOB led mass revolution will save the day because we are the only ones with a history of resistance against the vandals from the Sahel.

The sooner the youths of the Middle Belt and South West rise up to join IPOB to dismantle the Zoo and chart a new course for the respective ethnic nationalities that make up Nigeria, the better our chances of survival or else we are all doomed.

Press statements and lamentations will not stop the invaders, only concrete mass action can and we are ever ready.

Kanu was focused on media, is there a media house in particular?

Moving on, Pa Fasoranti he dsen’t want any chilly message from President Buhari, the only thing he wants is solutions to the killings in Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari has called to commiserate with me. But all I need from the president is to find solutions to these killings in the country.

Oh! Yes! the President said the killing was done by robbers!

Buhari in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina on Twitter said,

President Muhammadu Buhari condoles with Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, whose daughter, Mrs Funke Olakunrin was killed along Ondo-Ore road by those described as armed robbers by Ondo Police Command.

Actually, the police said hoodlums not armed robbers (I think they are the same, right?)

We can’t talk about Buhari on a sensitive case like this and not discuss Bola Tinubu. First, hope you know there have been ‘newsy-rumors’ of him preparing to run for Presidency come 2023 and only him knows the deals he has made, if the Yorubas ‘yari’ now and shake hands with Nnamdi Kanu like Fani-Kayode has been ‘magnetting’ then….

ABOUT THE BOLA TINUBU VOLUNTEERS MOVEMENT (BTVM)

So King Bouillon was quick to reach Pa through a letter.

Unfortunately, some people are eagerly trying to use this tragedy to advance their political agendas. I sincerely regret such behaviour for it is wrong and out of place. It does not well fit the moment. This is a time for consolation and genuine condolence.

It states –

Funke and I shared a happy and close relationship. We regularly exchanged ideas and advice to each other. We could speak to each other freely and honestly because of mutual respect that described our relationship. These talks enriched me. I shall miss them.

When she experienced an ailment last year, she informed me. I was able to help. Funke’s condition improved.

Showing her fine personal character and gratitude, Funke wrote the following words to me which I wish to share with you now to illustrate the goodness of her spirit:

Thank you so much for your help. I appreciate your help. You helped me to get another opportunity to live. Mo dupe. Best regards and with all respect.

Not long after, she sent another message: “Just to appreciate you once more. I am here Sir. The treatment is progressing. I am trusting GOD. Thank u for making it possible. Mo dupe Sir. May you continue to grow in His Grace. Amen.

I shall always treasure the relationship we had and will hold these messages in remembrance for I see myself as your son who respects and admires you deeply. It is from this wellspring of affection and emotion that I write this letter.

Unfortunately, some people are eagerly trying to use this tragedy to advance their political agendas. I sincerely regret such behaviour for it is wrong and out of place. It does not well fit the moment. This is a time for consolation and genuine condolence.

Everyone loves and supports you. I am sure that no effort will be spared in identifying the assailants and bringing them to full justice. I have been assured by government and law enforcement authorities that the perpetrators of this terrible act will be apprehended and face the brunt of the law for what they have committed.

We have faith that justice will indeed be done. But we must seek more than this. All of us who love you must also work together to honour Funke’s life by taking concrete steps to make sure such attacks do not continue to occur against the innocent and the peaceful.

I too have lost a precious child. I have a sense of what you are going through. Words are insufficient to express my innermost sentiments at this moment. All I can say is that my fervent prayer is for God to extend His divine hand in order to lend the comfort to you and the Fasoranti and Olakunrin families that only He can provide.

“May the loving and beautiful soul of Funke now and forever more rest gently in the bosom of the Lord. May God give you the strength and solace to carry on.”

House of Cards….

Tinubu’s slurred and apparent drug induced speech at Pa Fasoranti’s home is a confirmation that he is a sophisticated moron, a shame to any sane Yoruba. What is the relationship between Evans, the kidnapper, the Igbos and the Fulani Herdsmen terrorism? Scums everywhere!

  • Jackson Ude

So which group really killed Mrs Funke Olakunrin?

  • Fulani Herdsmen
  • Hoodlums
  • Robbers

OK! Can we minus on group – the Fulani Herdsmen, since they’ve said its not them(after-all there are not many of them).

As we express sincere heartfelt condolence to the family of the deceased, we are left in a deep shock on how a section of the media in collaboration with elements in the country that are held bane (sic) on using every opportunity available to them to fuel crisis as they continue the negative profiling of Fulanis for their total annihilation by jumping into a mischievous conclusion that she was killed by herdsmen,” the statement read.

“We strongly condemn this very unprofessional, unpatriotic and callous news reportage patterns that have been conscripted against our people by the section of the media.

Ok! They didn’t say it wasn’t them, they only said they don’t like what the media is doing. Clear right.

Other Prominent Reactions:

Atiku Abubakar,

I condemn, in the strongest possible term, the killing of Mrs Funke Olakunrin, daughter of Chief Reuben Fasoranti, the Chairman of Afenifere. This is one death too many. I call on the security services to initiate a speedy and thorough investigation to bring her killers to book and stem the epidemic of insecurity on our land.

My prayers and deep compassion go to Chief Reuben Fasoranti, his family and the entire membership of Afenifere. My family and I stand shoulder to shoulder with you at this trying time, even as we pray for the repose of Mrs Funke Olakunrin’s soul. Peace must return to Nigeria, by every means possible. Enough of this.

Senator Felix Kolawole Ogunwale,

This cannot continue in the country especially in Yoruba land. Those who brought the Fulani Militias should control them or the Yoruba race will be forced to stand to defend their land, if the government cannot defend us, because we are not cowards.

The fact that Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland has not giving marching order should not be misconstrued as weakness. The slow movement of a tiger is not cowardice.

Ow! About the Aare, I think that chair is fully into politics, what the Yorubas are expecting is complete throwback (I stand to be corrected), stop reading Women of Owu.

Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo,

I received, today, the tragic news of the death of your beloved daughter, Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, who was killed by some suspected Fulani herdsmen.

This is a worrisome development in our polity, especially at a time when all well-meaning Nigerians are preaching tolerance and political accommodation in national politics. I must say Nigeria as a whole is diminished by the manner of Funke’s death.

As you mourn the tragic loss of our very dear Funke, please be assured of the sympathy and profound sorrow of many others like me who are saddened by the manner of her demise, especially as she still had a lot to contribute to the nation and her family to which she was highly devoted.

“We deplore this dastardly act and seize this opportunity to call on governments at all levels to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that our security agents vigorously pursue and find the perpetrators of such heinous crime and make them face the full weight of the law.

And finally, as I can at this moment feed you with, our controvesial lawyer, Joseph Odok PhD Esq,

I know FFK is a constant visitor in a mental home

The daughter of the Leader of Afẹ́nifẹ́re, Barrister Funke Fasoranti Olakunrin died today, as she was on her way to Lagos from visiting her aged father, Pa Reuben Fasoranti OFR at Àkúrẹ́.

Preliminary investigations of the police points she was killed by armed robbers. FFK said she was killed by Fulani herdsmen

FFK is calling for a war between the Yoruba and Fulani. I know FFK has constantly been in rehabilitation home but his comments are quite inciting and capable of causing war. FFK should be invited to explain more. I am aware politicians are the major sponsors of killings and FFK seems to know so much

By the way, I have been following Odok for a while, I don’t think he will ever come in terms with Fani-Kayode.

Now, Yes! What do you think?

Who do you think is responsible?

Why was it done?

or

Do you think its a co-incidence?
