A member of the Akwa Ibom State Roads and Other Infrastructure Maintenance Agency, AKROIMA, Elder Okpoyo Etifit has called on his constituents to support “the visionary leadership” of the Governor, Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel.

Okpoyo Etifit stated this in his home town, Ukuda village, while celebrating the Christmas season on Wednesday.

Chief Etifit, who was a former Transition Chairman of Urue Offong Oruko local government area, lauded Governor Emmanuel “who through his commitment, determination, zeal, patriotism and fear of God injected peace” which he said had eluded Akwa Ibom people for eight years.

The Jerusalem Pilgrim and Justice of the Peace opined that, Udom Emmanuel deserved commendation for “forcefully driving towards maximally industrializing the State”.

He called on the people to support the visions, programmes and policies of the Governor whom he said was visibly bent on leaving the state better than he met it.

Etim Job recounted the patriotic legacies of Chief Etifit to include electrification of Anai Okpo, Ukuda, Abiakelibi and Eyobang communities, provision of bore hole, grading of rural roads, sponsoring of Ukuda youths in football competitions, acquisition of football Jessies, as well as assistance to students, men and women within and beyond.

Others who also spoke during the event, thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for finding their illustrious son fit for appointment into a performing Board like AKROIMA. They viewed Etifit’s appointment has being profitable to them and the adjourning villages.
