Proud tears in YABATECH on Wednesday as the best Librarian, Mrs Tayewo Adebowale, leaves after 10years of Service.
On Wednesday, management held a valedictory for Mrs Tayewo Adebowale, the outgoing Polytechnic Librarian whose 10 years stay in office expires this June.
Known for her strictness in ensuring discipline and softness to understand the astute mother of all will definately be missed.
The Rector, Engr Obafemi Omokungbe in his opening remark described Mrs Adebowale as a competent and diligent professional cum administrator whose contributions to the growth of the system in the last 10 years cannot be quantified.
He expressed sincere appreciation to Mrs Adebowale for adding value to the system. He noted with gladness that the College will still make do with Mrs Adebowale’s experience and knowledge since she will not be leaving the system so soon.
Principal officers/management staff who were present showers encomium on Mrs Adebowale one after the other for a successful tenure of office. This was after the Registrar has read a beautiful citation of her to the audience.
The event was also used as an opportunity to unveiled Dr. Fijabi, a Deputy Polytechnic Librarian as the new College polytechnic Librarian(in acting capacity) pending the appointment of a substantive Polytechnic Librarian by management soon.
The Polytechnic Librarian is a KEY principal officer’s position as spelt out in the federal polytechnic act.
