Guys! I think I just learnt why our NMA is resisting the Chinese Doctors coming to help. I watched two lawmakers, a Rep and a Senator on Politics Today, Channels 📺. They spoke in unison as follows:
1. The crux of the matter is based on misinformation and not really that NMA is rejecting help.
2. “The CCECC, the Chinese construction company in Nigeria is said to be donating items worth $100,000 (one hundred thousand dollars) and for that, will ✈ in 15 Doctors to come and help set them up” was what the Executive arm told the lawnmakers. They wondered what the hell is $100k? 🤔 and for that 15 Doctors.
3. But the main issue came from the construction company itself saying in their release to the Govt that “we’re sending infectious diseases experts to Nigeria to help”. NMA therefore kicked that they have the skills and not yet overwhelmed. It smacks of disrespect to send these Doctors to Nigeria.
So, the lawmakers were told a different thing from what the construction company told the Govt.
The lawmakers are on the side of Govt if what they’re told is correct but on the side of NMA if what the Construction company said is correct.
But they wondered aloud “what the hell is $100,000?” 🤔

Corporate, smart & unambiguous communication is everything and can make or mar a situation.
We should endeavor to stop shrouding things in secrecy.
The guys are already in town but definitely not to harm us but to help somehow. The true nature of that help will be known with time.
Just a little patience until they complete their 14 days quarantine period.

True talk. I know at least 2 of those people genuinely stranded and the Govt is determined to get them back starting from those in Togo and other West African countries.
