“The Best is Dead” by Okoroji Chidiebere Alexander

Find Love if you can by Okoroji Chidiebere Alexander

Beauty lies by knowing,
Searching for answers to things,
How we came to be,
And where we are heading,
Our vision and mission,
And our purpose to the world,
We came nakedly with a mark,
On our heads,
Searching for our uniqueness,
Hoping to stay positive,
And living in love and harmony,
But it was pancakes,
The world baked,
The stories are fake,
In this world; is a give and take,
We live in fear
And the places are dark.

The world was beautiful,
Created for our dominance,
For our survival,
As a race,
An animal with gifts,
With pride and talents,
The only animal who can speak,
But the Best is Dead,
We killed it while we were discovery,
While we were being greedy,
While we were ignorance,
Selfish and impulsive.

The Best is Dead,
The least we survive,
The feast we celebrate,
The taste of our existence,
On the West we depend,
And the rest, can go to hell,
For a life we uphold,
Now, our life, on a hold,
For all the good plans we had,
And all the moments,
That went sober,
We killed the Best,
As we don’t know what’s next.
