LAGOS: 4th January 2022 – The Balmoral Convention Centre was an impressive spectacle on Sunday 2nd January, as award winning global artiste, Fireboy DML headlined a captivating set at his first ever headlining music showcase.

The Fire Concert, a first of many, witnessed a massive turn up as fans, music lovers and guests assembled in droves to experience a night with the rave of the moment, featuring intimate live music delivered by the continent’s music luminary.

Opening performances from Zamorra and Jaido P, set the tone for the night with special renditions, whilst the audience chorused with loud cheers and excitement. Soundz, Evelle and Dwin the Stoic, carried the evening further with inspiring musical displays, moving the crowd with a live set.

Powering the hall with a disruptive set, DJ Tgarbs provided seamless transitions with hit songs and crowd favourites. Jimmie alongside MC Hyenna engaged the audience to light interactions, followed closely by an energetic introduction of the star of the night.

Fireboy DML, a generational talent, is reckoned for his soft and powerful musical presence with an impressive penmanship as evident in his chart-topping discography. Welcomed with emotional screams and applause, the young maestro hit the stage adorned in a stylish piece, with smiles and an address of gratitude towards excited fans and supporters.

The atmosphere was palpable, as Fireboy DML settled down to the business of the day with the track Need You to commence a nearly 4-hour set of riveting live music. Moving from hit songs – Like I Do, Vibration, Jealous, Gbas Gbos, Wait and See, many were bursting forth with celebration, miming and retro dancing as Scatter filled the space.

Rocking the crowd into the morning, DJ Factor intersected with a number of nostalgic selections, ushering the audience into yet another comeback from Fireboy DML; who supplied more crowd favourites off the Apollo album and a special encore performance of smash hit – Peru to close off an unforgettable night of good music.
