THE GREED OF HON. SUNNY OJEZELE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DELAY IN APPOINTING A VICE CHAIRMAN FOR ESAN SOUTH EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT – – It’s a consequential error for a tier of government to exists or operates without a Vice Chairman whose duties are spelt out in the constitution. It will interest everyone to know that ever since the court sacked the former Executive Chairman and the Vice Chairman of Esan South East Local Government of Edo state, which is about two months ago, the Local Government has been operating without a Vice Chairman. This act is very unhealthy for our dear democracy.

This very delay in having a Vice Chairman for the Local Government is not far from the political greed which is traceable to the Honourable member representing Esan South East Local Government Constituency in Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Sunny Ojezele. His quest to always accumulate everything to himself and reap from where he did not sow has led to this unconstitutional and dubious act. Hon. Sunny Ojezele’s intention is to be collecting the whopping sum of One Million Naira from whosoever becomes the Vice Chairman of this Local Government just as he was doing in the time past whereby he was collecting this same amount from the previous Local Government Chairman.

The people of Esan South East Local Government should hold Hon. Sunny Ojezele ransom and responsible for the inability to appoint a Vice Chairman for her Local Government. We are not operating an authoritarian government neither are we in a dictatorial regime where Hon Sunny Ojezele would always want to rob everyone of what belongs to them just to accumulate every resources for his selfish aggrandizement. He was given the opportunity to represent his people in the state House of Assembly, so therefore, he should be contented with what he has and therefore stop diving into others people’s benefits.

It has never occurred like this before but the greed of Hon. Sunny Ojezele is causing this unrest, unwholesome and unhealthy situation to the people of Esan South East Local Government. I want to ask this very question. What else does Hon. Sunny Ojezele actually want? Why is he always playing this politics of greed, bitterness and ungratefulness? I want to advise him to please allow peace to reign and also for democracy to take its course in our dear local government as he is not the only politician who has ever exists or existing in this Local Government.

In a just society, silence is a crime. So therefore, we can no longer keep mute nor fold our hands to watch a self-centered politician like Hon. Sunny Ojezele exhibits his inhuman character that is detriment to the general interest of the people of Esan South East Local Government. Please do not ruin our democracy, we beg of you.
